Hotel Lobby AI Apps Compared: Which One to Use

Oct 29, 2026RapReel teamRapReel team

Six Hotel Lobby AI tools compared by photos, song and price, and how to pick between a face-swap app and a studio that writes the rap.

Two kinds of tool answer to the name Hotel Lobby AI. A face-swap tool pastes one face onto the 2022 performance that started the trend. A studio builds a new performance with a song written for the two people in it. RapReel is the second kind. Which one you want comes down to one question: do you want to stand inside the famous clip, or a rap that is actually about you?

What's new on this page

  • 29 October 2026: first published, six tools compared.
  • Prices below are the ones each tool listed on its own page in early October 2026. Plans change quickly. Check the site before you pay.

Two kinds of Hotel Lobby AI tool

The booth comes from a 2022 A COLORS SHOW performance. Quavo and Takeoff, then billed as Unc & Phew, trade verses in an orange room under one hanging microphone while Hotel Lobby plays. Clips of the pair went around again in September 2026, and people started putting their own faces in.

That first wave produced the swap tools. They take a video of the original performance and replace a face in it. The output keeps the original moves, the original framing and the original recording. Nothing is new except the face.

The second wave produced the studios. They generate a fresh performance: two people on a stage, moving on their own, rapping a song written for them. The output is not the original clip at all, so there is no borrowed recording to flag.

The two kinds serve different searches. One person types "put me in the Hotel Lobby video". Another types "make us a Hotel Lobby rap". Both are valid. They are not the same request.

Each one in a sentence or two

RapReel. The orange booth is the default stage, with Luxury Lobby, Studio Booth and Street Cypher as alternatives. Clips run 5 to 15 seconds in the booth, render in up to about five minutes, and download as a vertical MP4 with no watermark. Two photos in, or one photo with both of you.

Rap Duo AI. The other studio. Two photos and a one-line topic go in, an AI-written rap and beat come out in about three minutes. It also accepts a single photo of both people, and its site says credits never expire.

Summrs. The most generous free entry among the swap tools: 50 free credits, then templates from 10 credits. You are still placing a face on someone else's performance, with someone else's song underneath.

Mitte Character Swap. A face-swap feature inside a larger creative suite. On its site, character swap sits behind the Creative plan, so the entry price is a subscription rather than a single render.

LightX. A general photo editor with a character-swap tool. Free to try, with a paid tier that lifts the limits. Good if you already edit photos there.

Higgsfield (Genjutsu). A model playground rather than a one-tap app. You rebuild a community template or transfer motion from the original clip, which means choosing models, references and prompts yourself. Our Higgsfield page walks through both methods.

CapCut template. Free, one tap, one face. The template can vanish mid-trend and the original song can still get a post muted. Our CapCut template page covers the limits.

Is there a free Hotel Lobby AI?

Partly. Three free routes exist: the CapCut template, Summrs free credits, and the LightX trial. Each one gives you a face on the original clip, not a performance of your own. Each one inherits the same two problems: one face, and a song that belongs to its rights holders, which means a platform can mute or remove the post.

A two-person video with new verses is different. That render costs the provider real compute, so studios charge for it. RapReel includes one free 2-second preview per Google account: 480p, watermarked, viewable on the site only. It is enough to check the framing before you pay for a full video.

Do you need an app?

Not for RapReel. It runs in a browser: upload, choose, render, download. CapCut is the one that needs an app. For the rest, check the tool's own site before you plan a desktop workflow.

What if you only have one photo of the two of you?

Both studios take a single photo with both faces clear. That is the case the trend was built for: two people, one picture, no hunt for a solo shot of each.

Swap tools are worse here. They want one face at a time, so a group photo gives a small face and a soft result. If the only photo you have is a group shot, crop it to the one person being swapped, or use a studio instead.

How to choose in ten seconds

  • You want your face inside the original clip and you accept the mute risk: CapCut, Summrs or LightX.
  • You want to control models, references and prompts: Higgsfield.
  • You want two people, original verses and a song nothing can mute: a studio. RapReel or Rap Duo AI.
  • You have one photo with both of you: a studio. Swap tools cannot use it well.
